Mount Kenya is the highest mountain in Kenya and the second-highest in Africa after Mount Kilimanjaro. It is located in central Kenya, about 150 kilometers north-northeast of Nairobi, and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. is an extinct volcano with several peaks, the highest of which is Batian, standing at 5,199 meters (17,057 feet) above sea level. The mountain is surrounded by a national park, which is home to diverse wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, and various species of primates.
Mount Kenya is a popular destination for trekking and climbing, with several routes and peaks to choose from. The most popular routes are the Sirimon and Chogoria routes, which offer stunning views of the mountain and the surrounding landscape. Climbing Mount Kenya requires a good level of fitness and some climbing experience, but it is a rewarding experience for those who make it to the summit.
Apart from climbing, visitors to Mount Kenya can also enjoy bird watching, game viewing, and cultural experiences with the local communities. The mountain is considered sacred by the Kikuyu people, who believe that their god, Ngai, lives on its summit. There are also several lodges and campsites around the mountain where visitors can stay and enjoy the natural beauty of the area.

Mt Kenya is regarded as the most visually stunning of the ice-capped African peaks and is home to a great diversity of wildlife, including leopard, elephant and buffalo. As you trekk, you will come across the following;
We’ll meet at 8:00 a.m. within CBD Nairobi or pick up from your hotel and then leave for Base Camp – a 5 hour drive. Plan to arrive at 2:30 p.m. and get acquainted with the camp, have 4:00 p.m. tea, and 6:00 p.m. dinner. Then spend a night in beautiful cottages and tents.
Spend the entire day within the camp and take part in team-building activities, including low- and high-rope courses.
Leave by 8:00 AM for a guided hike to Solo Camp.
Spent half of the day on the rock face for rock climbing and abseiling activities.
Leave by 8:00 AM for a guided hike to Majors Camp.
Leave at 3:00 AM for Point Lenana and decamp to Water Point.
Leave by 8:00 AM for a guided hike to Base Camp.
Final debrief from the camp management, have early lunch, and leave by 12:30 PM for Nairobi/drop-off points.
